April: Between Here And Elsewhere

Outside, the trees are trying to bloom. They haven’t quite committed yet—buds still curled tight like secrets—but they’re reaching anyway. April always feels like that to me. Between things. Between here and somewhere else. Between what’s real and what we try not to name.

So, here's what I'm reaching toward this month:

5,000 Words Toward the Next Horror Story

It’s a slow, quiet one. Rural. Threaded through with rot and grief and a little god that hums beneath the floorboards. I’ll tell you the name later. It hasn’t told me yet.

Two-Sentence Horror Launch – April 15

The goal is still launching 100 Two-Sentence Horror Stories on the 15th of this month.

Blog + Travel Log

This month, I’m starting something new: a blog series to track where I go, what I find, and what follows me back. Think motels that smell like old rain, gas stations with strange candy, diners where the waitress doesn’t blink enough. It’s going to be part trip log, part liminal haunting, part survival notes. First stop coming soon...once I make it.

Four New NoSleep Posts

I’ve got four ready to crawl out of me—each based on true events, more or less. A blackout I don’t remember starting. A phone call that came in at 4:44 a.m. A field with no crows. A sleep study that still hasn’t let me wake up.

If you’re on Reddit, you’ll find them there. If you’re not...maybe that’s safer.

Here’s to April. The in-between month.

Keep your eyes open. Don’t answer the knocking. And remember: Happy howling.
